Conflict
I just added a page of punching and action to the opening scene of issue #10. Drawing it out a bit allows me to bring it to a conclusion that has some of the dramatic irony that I really enjoy.
The scene will now have the main character yelling at his friend over what happened in that opening scene, but all of the things he is yelling are things that he himself needs to hear, as well as being valid criticisms of the friend’s problem solving skills.
I knew that I wanted to do something like that in this issue, but I did not know how it would come up. And then, there it was. Before I even realized it, the characters were saying and doing what they needed to do.
So far it is coming out very smoothly. I hope it works that way for the reader as well.
