Been sick the past week or so. So I’ve been doing some some sketching to get back into things.

Here’s a sketch of Red Lion I actually did initially for my “Sketch Crunch” excercise. This is where I set a time limit and see how much I can finish within that time. I was happy with what I got done, but I wanted to finish off and refine this piece too. So I spent a little time this evening and finished the drawing. So here it is.

Ok so a lot has changed over the past 3 months since Wizard World Chicago. We had planned (still do) to do an introductory book to the Rapid City series, but recently decided to put it on the back burner. What we have decided to do is just focus on getting the series started and in your hands. Don’t worry we still plan to give the discount to those who were gracious enough to buy one of our “Teaser Ashcans”, more details on that to come.

Wow, it’s been two weeks since I posted anything. Things at the day job have been crazy this month so far. We are moving our office and I’ve been heavily involved in the dealing with the contractors working on our new space and helping coordinate the move. So lately I’ve been wiped out by days end. Luckily the end is in sight, we are moving into the new space next weekend. So even though this week is going to be probaby the craziest so far, I’m going to make every effort to get myself back on track and get some more pages done.

Ok, here is a sketch that took place over 3 day period. The first two days really don’t count, because each time I sat down to sketch and started I was extremely exhausted from the days events that I really didn’t do much. I just felt like I needed to “wash the day away” and decided to draw.
So I started this sketch of Mira Vega and Hector (formerly the LT). So on the third day I finished it. But when I finished it I felt like it was seriously off in certain areas. I showed Josh and Micah and received feedback. I felt like I had/have to correct it, so I’m going to redo this sketch. So Josh suggested a ‘before & after” posting. Well here it is.
