MONOLITH MCC BadgeYou like comic books?

Those of you who stopped by our booth at the Motor City Convention sure seemed to.

This convention was our big debut as MONOLITH, and so far it has been a really great time. We met lots of really cool people and got the word out there about our books.

If you are one of those people we met, say “hi”. Let us know what you thought of the preview. And remember to check back in for the full online edition on the 4th.

We’ll probably be posting some pictures pretty soon. And if you got a sketch from us that you want to share, scan it in, or take a pic and sent it to us. We’re really proud of those sketches that Jason and Micah did and would love to show them off.

Ok, it is quarter after 8 on Saturday morning, and we need to get back into it. Hope to see you at Motor City Con.

t-minus 28 hours

About a month ago, Jason said “This is crunch time.”

HAH! We didn’t know what ‘crunch time’ was. Now THIS is crunch time.

Motor City Comic Con starts tomorrow. This company makes its debut there. Micah, Jason, and I have not worked a con (together or apart) in years. We know what we need to do, and it is getting done.

Bags are being packed and last minute preparations are being made.

I feel like a bullet. Like, all this time we have been assembling a gun, picking a target, fine-tuning our aiming devices…And for the past few days we have been tight-packing gun powder into shells, and zeroing in on our bullseye.

Everything is put together, lined-up, and sliding into place. And like that bullet, I feel like I have been slid into the chamber.

One well-oiled click and I roll up into the barrel.

Then tomorrow there is that one more click as the hammer pulls back. Out the barrel, I can see the target. Beneath me there’s dry, black, powder.

And that one last click. The one that starts as a click and ends as a bang. The one that turns all that powder into fire, sound, and fury.

And that’s it. Nothing left to do but fly.

Don't tell Jason

Jason does not know that I am posting this. But, for me, it is just too exciting to not let people see it. I have to be careful, though, or it will turn in to a giving-the-milk-away-for-free situation.

Anyway, please enjoy this Viper action scene from our upcoming preview book.

[SNEAK PEEK] Viper promo art.

This drawing of Viper is to go with Micah’s Sidekick and Amp (see below) on our backdrop for the show. I like how it turned out. Micah gave some assistance to the inking cleanup, making it more refined. So enjoy. Back to work now.
