Here’s another rough sketch of a Tank-Bot. I got a little carried away with this one. You could think of it as more of a “heavy artillery” version.

This was/is actually an older drawing that I started “tweaking” tonight. I’ve always liked this one for some reason. Well they will actually be used for part of the Bolt Harbor heroes. I’m sure I will be “reworking” them, but I figured why not give them an introduction. Look for more to come.

Secrets… they don’t stay buried for long. Spade, brother to Hades (see below), and the keeper of secrets. This sketch (I just realized I don’t sketch, because sketches are supposed to be lose and “sketchy” aren’t they?) is pretty damn close if not dead on for this character.

Well this is Hades. Younger sister to Spade (a sketch coming soon). I think this sketch captured her attitude, but I’m not quite sure it did her outfit though. Next sketch should do it.

This is a combination of Micah’s rendition (see below) and my first sketch of Wraith. I think this is nice amalgam of leather, metal and what was once human. This will lead to a final sketch where I think he needs just a little something extra. Hmmm…

It has been a good 5 years since I’ve really done any drawing. Since that time I have felt like I left something behind. Now that I’m back working with Josh and Micah, it feels great to be drawing again. Illustration has always been my first passion, design was something I got into for a “career”. Not that I don’t think illustration isn’t a career, I just wasn’t having any luck getting my foot in the door. I had received a few freelance illustration jobs for magazines and such, but I was looking to get a comic book illustrator job.
I had tried for years, with everyone telling me, “my work was great” and, I just needed to fix this or that. Then they started telling me, “I don’t know why you don’t have a job yet”. I struggled with that for a while longer, then decided to move on.
So I guess what I’m getting at is, is one thing I’ve always regretted doing, is giving up. Well I can honestly say I’m really excited to be doing this again. And I’m here to stay this time.
